I’m more prepared for winter than in past years, but I’ll admit, I missed a staple. I have no idea how I went so long without a black winter coat but when I realized it, I went on the hunt.
Of course I looked at my local vintage and thrift shops but couldn’t find anything in my size. Besides, I had a vision of the perfect coat in my head and knew it would be impossible to find true vintage for a reasonable price. I wanted something that came below my knees, had faux fur cuffs and collar, and was thick, warm, and black. And I knew it was a long shot, but I wanted it to have a fur hood. So I took to the internet and found the perfect coat on Collectifs website.
The pockets are also lined in fur and its a great weight. And the biggest bonus, it has a removable cape!
The coat came all the way from London very quickly, and was precisely what I wanted in a coat. I’ve taken walks on the coldest of winter days and stayed cozy and warm. My only complaint is the cape closes with a large button and elastic loop that isn’t very user friendly. I will have it replaced with a hook and eye closure.
If you are looking for a new winter coat, I suggest you visit Collectif, they have many great styles at amazing prices and everything is high quality.
